Westworld Season 2 Trailer

This is one intense trailer; those slow-motion bulls running wild through the Westworld command center make for some stunning imagery. I know some people had problems withWestworldseason 1 – it’s twisty,Lost-inspired story structure, full of big reveals and key details being deliberately withheld to further the mystery, brought out complaints on Twitter. But the end result was a meticulously crafted, very entertaining, often disturbing sci-fi drama, featuring a phenomenal cast giving some great performances.Evan Rachel WoodandThandie Newtonboth did some of the best work of their careers during season 1, and I have no doubt they’ll continue to knock it out of the park in season 2. Co-starsJeffrey Wright,James Marsden,Ed Harris, andJimmi Simpsonwill all be returning as well.

This trailer gives us just a hint of what we can expect in the new season. In the past, Jonathan Nolan, who co-created the series with Lisa Joy, has said that what he really wants to do is explore more worlds beyond the Westworld. “This park contains multitudes,“saidNolan. “We hope to explore that in the seasons going forward.” Moving beyond the Western-themed park was teased at the end of season 1, when we got a glimpse of Samurai robots.

Westworldseason 1 ended in 2016, but fans expected the show to return in 2017 were met with the disappointment of a full year delay. Jonathan Nolan, who co-created the series with Lisa Joy, provided thisexplanationfor the delay:

Westworldseason 2 premieresApril 22, 2018.
